As debut novels go, this ranks among some of the best I've read... And I've read A LOT! Great characters, great storyline and great ending, leaving you anxious for the next book. Well done Luke - now hurry up with number 2 please???

In a story about greed, power and manipulation Calvin finds himself wanted by the police and with a hit man on his tail. With pressure being put on the lead detective on the case it seems that Calvin is wanted for a continuing rise in murders, even if he is innocent.
As you read this story you know who are the guilty parties, and what the police are doing, as well as the problems Calvin is facing. All the time though you are left wondering if there is someone else pulling the strings that no one is aware of. This is a thrilling and gripping read that is very compelling. This is also open to a degree, allowing for more books starring Calvin Watters.
If you are looking for something that will grip you and has loads of action and murder, then you can't really go wrong with this.

An insight into the world of rivalry in casinos in Vegas! Dead Man's Hand left you wanting more with every page turn. Very likeable and relatable characters. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would happily read more by this author.
