Description:

Young interior designer Ava O’Shea has an appointment for a first consultation at The Manor with the owner, Mr Jesse Ward. She is expecting nothing more than an overweight, cravat wearing, well-to-do countryman, and on arrival, nothing would suggest otherwise. How wrong could she be?

This Man is devastatingly handsome, charming and confident. He is also a conceited, hedonistic playboy, who knows no boundaries. Ava desperately does not want to be attracted to him, but she can’t control the overwhelming affect he has on her.

Every instinct is telling her to run, so she does, but Jesse Ward is not so willing to let her go. He wants her and is determined to have her. She knows she is heading for heartbreak, but how can she run when he won’t let her?.

Reviews from Amazon:

I really don't know where to start with this review. I read the reviews on Amazon and made a big mistake by thinking it was a historical novel. LoL!! So after clearing up that major error, I download it and read it last night and I just couldn't put it down.

Do we always make the right choices when it comes to love? How many times do we think we have met "the one?"

Ava O'Shea has an appointment at the Manor... Ava has worked for Rocco Union for 4 years and was employed to expand the business into the modern sector. So why is she going? Country pads are meant to be handled by Patrick, her boss. "It is because they asked for you flower" her boss replies.

The Manor is not what Ava expected. It's a hotel (she thinks) the décor is opulent, lush and intimidating and nothing like her design plans. Ava is expecting to meet the "Lord" of the Manor, an overweight, mature and rich county gentleman. How wrong could she be?

Jesse Ward is not what she expected. Ava's heart crashes against her breast as she finally faces him. This man is so perfect, He is drool worthy, drop dead gorgeous his eyes are green and God he is devastating.

Coming out of a bad relationship Ava does not want to be attracted to Jesse, nor does she want to have anything to do with him and she runs...but too late. The bad boy wants her and pursues her relentlessly.

I love everything about This Man. It is very well written, it is long (which I love) it made me laugh out loud and the sex...well it was off the Richter scale - but most of all I LOVED Jesse.

I am sure, like me, you will guess where the story is going. I know by the time I had come to the last chapter I was desperate to find out if I was right. I also was desperate for the book not to end. It was so well written.

So....what is the secret behind the Manor, and what secret is Jesse hiding? Read it and find out.

Jodi Ellen Malpas is a self published author. What a scorcher of a book and thank goodness the next episode is in December...I would HATE to wait til next year for the next instalment.

A fabulous read and a definite recommendation. Warning: do not start this book late at night - you will be not be able to put it down and I can guarantee you will be up all night reading it. .

O.K, firstly I would like to say I enjoyed this book, and bought the second one as soon as I finished it.....but. The story has been done so many times now. Rich man with issues meets young, beautiful, headstrong girl. If you read Fifty, then you will enjoy this, but at times it was so annoying.

I feel that if there is going to be a much used plot, then the characters need to be something special to make the book different. How many times do we have to hear about Jesse's minty breath? Ava is by no means perfect, but again, how many times must she take a stand only to have whatever decision or thought ****ed out of her??

By the end of the second book, I have to say I am depressed. How could a relationship like theirs ever work? Having said that, I will end up completing the trilogy just to find out how it will end. Good value for the price, but not the greatest piece of fiction.

I've just finished This Man, and I'll start by saying if I knew the second wasn't out yet I would have waited - arrrghhhhh I want to read it.

The book is similar to the other big hitters of 50 Shades and Bared to You, young lady, meets hot successful business man who has some serious issues and secrets.

It was really well written, and the lead character was easy to love. Although there were some times I would have beaten Jesse.

If you are a fan of 50 Shades and Bared to you, you'll enjoy this book. Its better than 50 but in my personal opinion isn't quite on with Bared to You. But if this is the authors first book - I cannot wait to read more of her work.

Ends on a real cliff hanger so you may want to wait until January when the new ones released!!.
