Hello Dear Browsers,

Its time to get that Christmas gift list going again (sorry if you’ve had enough of this already)

But as a book reader, what better gift to others or yourself than a new book?

As an ebook reader you love a new book and if you don’t have one a nagging sense of insecurity can be felt.

So top on my list for gifts would be an Amazon gift Card.

If you like a new book you will probably love a kindle gift card so you can choose a book whenever it takes your Fancy without having to worry about the price tag.

I would choose the £50 Amazon voucher that allows you to purchase anything in the Amazon shop, but you can purchase any value you choose for any product.

They come in a range of prices to suit every pocket and even come with a printed Christmas Card that is really delivered to the recipients door within 24 hours of ordering!

None of your virtual reality stuff there!

2012 The best Books Christmas wish list #1

Here is the first brief selection of best book of 2012 selections to get you started if you want to send a specific title to your loved ones this Christmas.

Biography
My Animals and Other Family by Clare Balding

Clare Balding grew up in a rather unusual household. Her father a champion trainer, she shared her life with more than 100 thoroughbred racehorses, mares, foals and ponies, as well as an ever-present pack of boxers and lurchers. As a toddler she would happily ride the legendary Mill Reef and take breakfast with the Queen.

Crime and Thrillers
Phantom (Harry Hole 8) by Jo Nesbo

With a steady hand, Jo Nesbo deftly ties together the different narratives, steering the novel towards its goal with great precision.... The fact that Harry Hole is a character in constant development makes the book even more interesting.

The final third is a complete roller coaster, with so many twists and turns, that I read it in one chunk, and I was completely stunned by the ending.

Fiction
Bring up the Bodies by Hilary Mantel

By 1535 Cromwell is Chief Minister to Henry, his fortunes having risen with those of Anne Boleyn. But the split from the Catholic Church has left England dangerously isolated, and Anne has failed to give the king an heir. Cromwell watches as Henry falls for plain Jane Seymour.

Negotiating the politics of the court, Cromwell must find a solution that will satisfy Henry, safeguard the nation and secure his own career. But neither minister nor king will emerge unscathed from the bloody theatre of Anne’s final days.

Cooking
How to Bake by Paul Hollywood

Home baking is all the rage - thanks in no small way to Paul Hollywood
I believe this book serves novice and more experienced bakers alike and it certainly won't disappoint! An excellent book to inspire you into being more creative in the kitchen and put smiles on the faces of your loved ones!

Might I also suggest one of our very own  free books advertised each day on kindle free books and a gift token as a Christmas gift idea.
